Irrigation

Irrigation is very important to crop production in Arkansas. Arkansas ranks fourth in the US in irrigated acreage with approximately 4 million acres. The only states with more irrigated acreage are Texas, Nebraska, and California. Arkansas accounts for almost 50% of the rice that is produced in the US. The information presented is intended to provide irrigation recommendations for Arkansas producers and may also be useful for producers in other states.
