Drought Management for Livestock and Forages

Much of Arkansas has suffered from drought in 2005 and 2006, leading to a hay shortage as well as other drought-related problems. Articles focusing on drought management related to livestock and forages are listed below in addition to links to publications and PowerPoint presentations.

Arkansas producers with hay available for sale or looking for hay can submit information to the Arkansas Hay Producers Database http://hayproducers.uaex.edu/ or visit one of the hay directories listed below.

Drought status can be monitored at the U. S. Drought Monitor website.
