Hydrangea aspera

Nomenclature on this may not be correct. Plants discussed may also be found listed as H. strigosa, H. villosa, and H. sargentiana. However listed, this group tends to include a group of deciduous shrubs that are larger in size and have characteristic 'fuzzy', large leaves. Older plants tend to have beautiful exfoliating bark and flowers tend to be 'lacecap' types.
