Bonfire - Ornamental Prunus

Date of Release - 1993; Plant patent # 8509.

Tree Characteristics - Brachytic dwarf; mature trees average 5-6' height; 7' wide.

Fruit Type - Peach, non-edible

Leaf Characteristics - Red, and mostly full-red until leaf fall; leaves longer than standard peach, 8-10" length; very dense foliage.

Bloom Characteristics - double flowers (numerous petals); pink-red; blooms with other peaches

Comments - For use as an ornamental shrub or patio container plant. Resistant to bacterial spot.
