Production, Supply, and Distribution (PS&D) Database: by Country, Commodity,
Supply and Use Time Series - Production, Supply, and Distribution, or P-S-D,
is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (U-S-D-A) official, short-term quantity
forecast of supply and use by country and by commodity for 62 commodities,
excluding fruits and vegetables, and more than 200 countries and regions in the
world. Data are annual, in standard metric units, and for quantity only, not
value. P-S-D covers area, yield, production, consumption, stocks, and trade.

Joint
Agricultural Weather Facility (J-A-W-F) - The Joint Agricultural Weather
Facility (J-A-W-F) is jointly operated by the World Agricultural Outlook Board
of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (U-S-D-A) and the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The
primary mission of the J-A-W-F is to routinely collect global weather data and
agricultural information to determine the impact of growing season weather
conditions on crops and livestock production prospects. The J-A-W-F staff
includes NOAA meteorologists and WAOB agricultural meteorologists, working as a
team to provide weather information and products, weather analyses, weather data
for more than 6000 stations around the globe. The web site includes the

Agriculture. This publication contains annual U.S. data for acreage, yield, and
production by crop.
U-S-D-A
Agricultural Baseline Projections to 2010 - This report provides long-run
baseline projections for the agricultural sector through 2010. Projections cover
agricultural commodities, agricultural trade, and aggregate indicators of the
sector, such as farm income and food prices. The projections are based on
specific assumptions regarding macroeconomic conditions, policy, weather, and
international developments. The baseline assumes that there are no shocks due to
abnormal weather or other factors affecting global supply and demand. The
projections assume that current agricultural law of the 1996 Farm Act remains in
effect throughout the baseline. The baseline projections presented are one
representative scenario for the agricultural sector for the next decade. As
such, the baseline provides a point of departure for discussion of alternative
farm sector outcomes that could result under different assumptions. The
projections in this report were prepared in September through November 2000,
reflecting a composite of model results and judgmental analysis.
Other Agricultural Baseline Projections:
Agricultural Land Values and Cash Rent - is a combined report published by
the National Agricultural Statistics Service. The data series has January 1
reference date for land values and crop or grazing year for cash rents.
Agricultural Income and Finance is a product of the Economic Research
Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. The publication looks at farm
income, profitability, government payments, production expenses, debts and
assets, and other areas of farm finance.
